ellie & the beach!
we had the most wonderful little trip to the beach last weekend. it was perfect beach weather for taking a baby (unlike ellie's first trip, which she's still recovering from!) it's also really fun to see an almost six month old take it all in -- the vast expanse of water, the sand, the sounds, the wind off the water -- i sort of could just get lost in watching her (hence the 5000 photos of me looking at her!). i just love doing life with this little family of ours & am oh so grateful to live near the water!
p.s. because a few of you asked on instagram (follow me at tulipsandflightsuits or here!), my suit is last season j.crew, e's is last season old navy (we're "last season, snag em while they're on sale" kinda girls) & my hat is from the j.crew outlet. i love this sunscreen for little babes!

It must be really nice to live near the sea. You know I’ve always loved how beaches could offer tranquility and excitement, depending on your state of mind. Ellie looks very sweet in her yellow dress and polka dot hat. :) I’m sure she’ll be good friends with the water when she grows a little older. Donna Parsley
